2) Recommend alternative strategies as needed that will increase the probability of achieving these goals.

  Practice Financial Evaluation
  The Practice Financial Evaluation helps us to better understand how effectively the practice is generating wealth for you and your family and what changes, if any, are needed to help you reach your financial goals.
   
   
 
Earnings Power Determination
   
  We determine the earnings power of your practice. This is how much after-tax cash the practice has generated for your benefit and how much future cash you should expect to receive.
   
Cash Flow System Analysis
   
  We help create and implement a system for systematically taking cash from the practice for household expenses and investments in the most tax-efficient manner—one that ensures an optimal amount of financial resources remains in the practice.
   
Practice Valuation
   
  We establish a fair value for the practice, one that is tied to the earnings power of the firm. We never use “rule of thumb” valuation.
   
Business Entity Evaluation
   
  We examine your type of business entity to determine if it is the most beneficial type for your needs. If a change needs to be made, we will work with your accountant to implement the change.
   
Tax Withholding Strategy Evaluation
   
  We evaluate whether your current tax withholding strategy is appropriate. If it is not, we will work with your accountant to implement the change.
   
Buy-Sell Evaluation
   
  For practices with multiple owners, we will determine the effectiveness of any buy-sell arrangements in place or, if necessary, work with your practice’s partners and an attorney to develop one.
   
Financial Data Analysis
   
  We analyze several years of your financial data from income tax returns to uncover trends in revenue and expenses with special attention toward uncovering unhealthy trends.
   
Profit & Loss Statement Analysis
   
  We evaluate your internal profit and loss statements to determine whether the data is accurate. When it’s not, we’ll help you re-engineer your financial reporting system to ensure that it produces accurate information.
   
   
  Comprehensive Personal Financial Plan
  After we’ve developed a comprehensive view of your practice financial situation, it’s critical to develop a plan to help guide your future actions for ensuring financial success.

  We identify your exposure to major risks and discuss your options for managing these risks.
   
Pension Planning
   
  We evaluate your pension plan’s wealth-generating capacity and, as needed, create new plans that will more effectively meet your goals.
   
  After we complete the evaluation, we will continue to work with you to monitor financial events at your practice and in your personal situation to ensure you are on track to meet your financial goals and to identify if we need to make any changes to your plan.
